Hey Gooders,
What does it mean to make your movements "sticky?" It all begins with the mind to muscle connection. I know you've heard of this term, so let's look into it, shall we?
To simplify, it means to bring deliberate attention to the muscles being worked. In this 3 minute video, I take biceps curl to explain how to establish your mind to muscle connection.
Once you build this mind to muscle connection, you can take any exercise and make it more powerful. Even with light weights. Even with no weights. As you get stronger, the exercise doesn't get any easier because you can now engage more and create more tension.
Don't just haphazardly go through the motions. Anyone can just lift and drop the weights. Be mindful. Slow it down so your brain can catch up to what your body is doing. You will find that your workouts will feel more satisfying. Making every rep count will also result in a better body and your mind and body will be in perfect communication.
Take your next workout and slow it down. Engage your mind to muscles and stay in the present. Make every rep count. I bet you will feel it even more so the next day!
That's it for today. Have a great day!
